Weekly Update

New Series Starting This Sunday

Who is Jesus in the Bible? What did he say and what did he do? What would it be like to walk in his footsteps?

We’re dedicating the first quarter of 2022 to reading and preaching through the Gospel of Mark until we arrive at the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.

In preparation, I encourage you to start reading through the Gospel of Mark. You might be surprised by Jesus and, perhaps even more, by those around him. There’s also a great 10-minute video-summary of the Gospel of Mark that you can find HERE. It’s worth the ten minutes!

Looking forward to seeing you this Sunday, either in person or online! We’ll be meeting at 11:00 AM, and service will stream on Facebook and YouTube then.

Congregational Meeting, Feb 6th

Each year we hold a Congregational Meeting to give an update on the year behind and the year ahead. This year, our congregation meeting will be directly after service on February 6th. That’s three Sundays from now! We’d love to see you there!

ECO National Gathering: Online Jan 31st – Feb 3rd

Our church is part of a Presbyterian denomination called ECO. ECO hosts an event called the National Gathering that includes keynote speakers and workshops on various topics. This year, the gathering runs from Monday, January 31st to Thursday, February 3rd. You can check out more at https://econationalgathering.org/, and can join via online stream for only $10. If interested, contact Devin. If there’s interest to join, we’ll gather together to do so.

This year’s theme for the gathering is “Overflow”. The synopsis below is straight from ECO’s website:

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

The God of hope is filling us to overflowing with joy, peace and hope! However, we know that exhaustion continues to set in. Ongoing stress is prevalent. Concern for the future looms and we mourn so much loss. We are depleted.

Yet, we are truly grateful that our lives and ministries are not about us but about the God of hope, this trustworthy God, who fills us to overflowing by the power of the Holy Spirit! Through Him we experience hope once again. We prayerfully invest in new disciples. We nurture missional living. We humbly serve those in our communities as we flow out of our buildings into our neighborhoods and into the world. Not by our power but through God’s alone, we have joy. We have peace. We have hope. And our congregations flourish once again.

Join us for an amazing week of fellowship, encouragement, inspiration, training, teaching, and of course…fun!
